36 hours in Amsterdam according to The New York Times
It may be clear that we at Body and Mind Amsterdam are crazy about Amsterdam. But that The New York Times fell in love with our capital city? That is a very nice compliment! This month the newspaper published a crazy article: “36 hours in Amsterdam”. They spent 36 hours in Amsterdam to share with you the ‘must visits’. Not the normal tourist spots, but the hidden places where the locals go.
Quote from The New York Times: “With new restaurants and night spots, and the reopening of the Rijksmuseum and the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam is in the midst of an exciting renewal.”
Favorite spots of Body and Mind Amsterdam
In the article we found – particularly nice of course- some of our own favorite spots! For example, concept store Hutspot, where they sell items of Amsterdam designers. By the way here you also can have a delicious healthy lunch! Or how about Glouglou? A wine bar where they serve organic wines (soon more about that on our site!). They also wrote about Bocca Coffee: a coffee roaster + bar where they serve and sell Fairtrade coffees. Further De Boerenmarkt (the farmers market) in Amsterdam North was mentioned, here you only can buy organic products. And do you already know Neef Louis Design and Van Dijk & Ko? Two huge sheds with second-hand products. So enough inspiration for 36 hours in Amsterdam!
