Performances and concerts in the Vondelpark
I love Amsterdam summers; because there is so much to do in our capital. And something you really do not want to miss this year is the Vondelpark Open Air Theatre (Vondelpark Openlucht Theater). I already wrote about the ‘ Vondelpark ‘ because it’s a nice place to jog (and of course the Vondelpark is also perfect for picnicking, barbecue and walking) … Now I’m going to tell you how you can enjoy various performances and concerts here this summer. FREE!
The Vondelpark Open air theatre is open from May to september (2016). May was marked by festivals. And from 5 June to 11 September every weekend (oh yes: Friday, Saturday and Sunday so three double celebration) you can go to the Vondelpark for dance, youth theatre, cabaret, pop music and classical performances. On the stage appears young talent but on the program there are also a number of big names. And as I already gave away: the performances are just completely free to visit!

What to expect in the Outdoor Theater? For example, on the agenda I see a performance by Jelka van Houten. And I can assure you; she can sing beautifully! There is also an open air restaurant planned in June, where you can stroll along food stalls, and eat together at laid tables. Of course there is also a lot to do for children. For example, visit the children performance ‘ little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf ” by ‘Het Kleine Theater’ (The Small theatre).
Listen to music, take part in workshops, watch youth performances, let yourself be enchanted by beautiful dances and hit the dancefloor yourself. There is so much to do and see! This year once again the Vondelpark Open Air Theatre promises to be a big success! Do you come?
