Wildernis
Almost every week I come home with a big bunch of flowers or a new plant. Nothing more cheerful than some tulips, peony roses or gerbera’s on the table. And the house plants in the corner or on the window sill make me happy every day. The greener my house, the better. Where I buy this Green? Wildernis (translation = Wilderness) in Amsterdam West! Across Salad and the City: that one salad bar and take-away for a healthy, well-filled salad where we already wrote about.
Back to Wildernis: Wildernis is a city garden shop where you can find the best, hippest and greenest plants, pots and trays, gardeners stuff, seeds and garden books. Above all take care that you’re not in a hurry when you walk in here, because then you can enjoy a tea, coffee and cake. At Body and Mind Amsterdam we are fan and therefore this small blog, to make you a fan as well.
Amsterdam must become greener
The girls behind Wildernis (Emma and Mila), started the shop because they want a greener city. Because, as they say, “Green is beautiful, healthy and good for everyone”. And we of course totally agree. With Wildernis, they want to help you in creating a green environment. And that is why they not only sell green, but also give workshops in the field of (vegetable) gardening, flowers and indoor plants. So keep an eye on their website for the nicest workshops!
If you not succeed to create a ‘green’ house? Then just give them a visit, drink tea, and sit in one of the greenest areas in Amsterdam. Or ask Emma and Mila for advice, because they are full of ideas for your balcony, living room, garden or window sill.
